These wonderful handmade dolls were made by a group of ladies from Mosselbay and Kempton Park South Africa. They are on their way to Mozambique and Malawi to become amazing ministry tools to reach children in these areas. Most of the little girls do not have a doll to play with. This doll will be her only doll throughout her childhood. The bond the child creates with this doll is extremely strong and special. Thus it is the perfect tool to use for children discipleship. These toys will help teach children about Jesus through a very simple vision that God gave Dr. Louis Blom President of the Judea Group.

The doll with its arms stretched out looks like the cross of Jesus. We can now teach children that Jesus died on a cross for our sins. The arms and hands stretch out to the sides, one to the left to reach a friend who can walk with us like Jesus does, and one stretched to the right to reach another friend who does not know Jesus yet. We can take that friend by the hand and help them to learn about Jesus and also accept His forgiveness. Each doll has a little heart to remind children about love. When we accept Jesus into our lives, He comes and lives inside of our hearts. The little feet walk and seek those who are lost. In Ephesians we read about feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. The head of the doll teaches us about learning, reading, hearing, talking about Jesus, worship and prayer. We can approach God through our emotions, our will, intellect, imagination, thoughts etc. The soul is an important part when it comes to learning about Jesus and the world around us.

We want to thank the ladies of Mosselbay and Kempton Park sincerely for their time and effort with this project. We know it will have a huge impact on the children and will be very effective in children’s ministry work across Africa. May God continue to bless you in your giving. - Thea Blom CEO Judea Hope

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

  • Judea Hope is truly uplifting and developing thousands of at RISK children in Hope Centres.

    Dr. Louis Blom

    Judea Harvest President

  • There is probably no better feeling of fulfillment than being able to help another human being. The altruistic experience of giving resounds the voice of Winston Churchill: We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
